Ronnie Leten resigned from the Atlas Copco AB Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on April 26, 2017. On the same date, he left the position of Atlas Copco Group President and CEO. After eight years of Ronnie’s successful managing, the Group is now stronger than ever with an enhanced customer focus and a solid service in each business area.

We have a new successor who is a capable leader, that’s for sure. The Atlas Copco AB Board of Directors appointed Mats Rahmström as new President and CEO, who started his mission on April 27, 2017. “Mats has a strong business focus and is an appreciated leader who is living and breathing the Atlas Copco values,” said Hans Stråberg, Chair of the Atlas Copco Board of Directors.

Mats began his Atlas Copco career in 1988. He held positions in sales, service, marketing, and general management within Industrial Technique during the first 10 years. From 1998 to 2006, he was General Manager for the customer centers in Sweden, Canada, and, then, in the United Kingdom. In 2008, Mats became President of the Industrial Technique business area. His successor is Henrik Elmin now. We are convinced that Mats will make our company grow and progress further.
